Two years ago, surrounded by family and friends, Ashley and her Groom tied the knot in a gorgeous Four Seasons Las Colinas Dallas wedding.
This Dallas couple were enrolled in the same graduate program when they met. As fate had it, they were both studying to become chiropractors, at the same school. Ashley and Quinn ran in the same circle of friends. After their first date, they were immediately inseparable.
Because Ashley was still in school, I worked very closely with her mother Brandye to bring their wedding to life, who was such a pleasure to work with. We had many meetings over cocktails that were sure to be filled with work and laughter.
Once thing Ashley was sure of was that she loved marble. We brought that into multiple elements of the wedding design. From the save the date cards to the cocktail napkins on the day of, marble design was used throughout.
The day started out bright and fun with Ashley surrounded by her family and closest friends. They spent the morning laughing and getting ready together, looking like a bride squad of dreams in their floral robes.
There were so many sweet moments sprinkled throughout the day. Ashley gave her Father a pocket square, printed with a letter she had written him, to have something special just for him on her big day.
Meanwhile, the Groom was reading a letter of his own. He was also busy getting ready with his trusty groomsmen when he was given a letter from Ashley.
Ashley and Her Groom opted to stay true to tradition and didn’t see each other before the wedding. Writing letters to each other was their way of staying close and feeling connected before the ceremony.
The couple tied the knot in Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley’s family’s church that she grew up going to.
After the ceremony, the guests were transported to the Four Seasons Resort Dallas at Las Colinas. They were greeted by a fabulous cocktail party where they could grab a drink and relax while the couple took their wedding photos.
The reception was decked out to the nines. The event design (by our team at Southern Affairs!) was nothing short of fabulous, every detail perfectly in place. The floral centerpieces were overflowing with gorgeous blooms, and hundreds of tiny tea lights gave the room a soft romantic glow.
The room was centered around a grand dance floor that was very well loved. The couple and their guests danced the night away. The Groom and his groomsmen also had a surprise in store for Ashley. The groomsmen had choreographed a dance to Maroon 5’s “Sugar,” which they performed for the newlyweds. But the Groom surprised everyone by getting up halfway through and joining in.
The newlyweds ended the night surrounded by people they loved, celebrating just that. They danced until their shoes fell off, ending the night through a tunnel of well-wishers, with as much laughter and love as the day began.
