We have been working on our new website over the past several months, and here it is! Our website received a brand new makeover, a pretty new home to call our own. What do you think?
We’re also excited to begin blogging twice per month sharing all things wedding, love, planning tips and inspiration, featured vendors with specialty tips and much more. If you’d like to receive emails when new posts are shared, make sure to sign up for our email list.
While working on our new website, we began reflecting over this past first year of Southern Affairs. September 8th will mark our one year anniversary, and what a year it has been so far.
There is much to celebrate! We are grateful to have worked with so many fabulous brides within our first year, to have had a full calendar year and to have met some great industry friends and vendors.
For our first post, we wanted to feature a few of our favorite photos from two special weddings.
The first is a rustic inspired wedding for Kelly and Drew. We assisted with the design and coordination of this simply beautiful wedding. Kelly was such a sweet and easy going bride, and this couple complements each other so well. One of our favorite details of the wedding was the gorgeous gold mason jars and cans. We painted all the jars and cans a beautiful gold and added a touch of gold glitter to the bottoms of the jars. We are big fans of gold glitter, who isn’t?! Another fun detail of the wedding was the bride and groom, who both graduated from A&M, singing along with their friends who were also A&M alumni, to the school’s alma mater which really kicked off the celebration!

The second is a classic inspired wedding for Shardai and Jacobie. We assisted with full planning service for this sweet couple. It was such a pleasure working with them, and we enjoyed getting to know Shardai as a bride and a new friend. It was an especially special day for them because their wedding was the first big wedding in both of their families. One of our favorite details of the wedding was the gorgeous wedding cake designed by the bride.
