I am so very excited to feature this month’s vendor: Natalia Issa. Natalia is a hair & makeup artist based in North Dallas and has a killer talent for bringing out a women’s natural beauty. She and I have become great friends over the last two years and I was so thrilled when she agreed to let me interview her.
The Interview:
Q: When and how did you get started in the wedding industry?
A: I started in 2010! When I knew I wanted to pursue my love for art, Hair and makeup! And leave the corporate world behind!
Q: How far in advance should brides request your services?
A: 12 – 18 months in advance for Saturday Weddings. Weekday weddings 4-6 months.
Q: Who is your ideal client? And why do you think clients book you over your competition?
A: My ideal client is the bride that is romantic, wants whimsical, organic beauty and a splash a glam to their look!
I feel that my competitive edge is my involvement with the bride during her planning process. I love to be part of the details and truly get to know my bride! I am reliable and dependable. My heart is to truly deliver the look that the bride has always dreamed for her wedding day. I don’t double book to ensure I can meet my bride’s expectations and to be able to truly be there for her day.
Q: What do you adore most about weddings?
A: Everything about weddings is truly exciting! But I must confess I live for the first look !! The groom’s expression when he sees the bride is my takeaway! It makes me feel proud of my work!! And happy to be part of someone’s love story!
Q: How many weddings/clients do you take on a year?
A: 48-58 weddings a year
Q: What is something you would like clients to know about you that they cannot read on your website?
A: I hope that my clients always see my heart and my commitment to everything I do. I am very transparent and I want my clients to know that what I do is not just a job or a service I preform, what I give is who I am. And hair and makeup is my art and my passion! I also love serving others and loving on people, for me being a hair and makeup artist is a true joy!
Q: What advice could you offer to our newly engaged couples?
A: My best advice is to make their wedding their own! Yes gather inspiration from Pinterest and blogs, but make your own memories and allow the professionals to do what they are amazing at! We love to take your vision and run with it!
Q: What is your go to hangout spot in Dallas?
A: I live in Mckinney, so I hang out in Down Town Mckinney with my family!
Q: And my favorite question to ask: what is your signature cocktail?
A: Coconut mojito!
