We are excited to say this month’s Dallas Wedding venue is one we have worked at for 5 years: Hickory Street Annex. Hickory Street Annex is a collection of rustic Dallas buildings in the heart of downtown. We spoke with Michelle Meyer, who has been at the Annex since 1999.
Q: What is your favorite feature of your venue?
A: There are too many to just choose one. We love the windows and all the natural light they bring into the venue making it perfect for any season. In the spring through fall, our ivy wall is to die for! The photos speak for themselves. With our location, we are so convenient to many hotels and churches. Parking is so easy here, we have a large courtyard parking lot at no additional charge.
Q: How far in advance should couples book your space?
A:We recommend a year out, but if there is a specific date you want then book as soon as possible!
Q: Why do you think client’s choose your venue over your competition?
A: We think they choose us because we are experienced in weddings. After being a venue for nearly 13 years we’ve seen a thing or two.
Q: What do you love most about weddings?
A: How every couple puts their personal style into their special day. No two weddings are exactly the same!
Q: What is something you would like clients to know about your venue that they cannot read on your website?
A: We really strive to make our clients feel like their event is the most important event of the year. They aren’t just another name here.
Q: What advice could you offer to newly engaged couples?
A: Plan together and set expectations early on in your planning process.
Q: And my favorite question to ask: what is your signature cocktail?
A: A glass of wine, because we get better with age.
