We had a chance to hear more about this amazing location from one of the Social Directors, Emily Harms.
The Interview:
Q: What is your favorite feature of your venue?
A: Big windows with lots of natural light are one of the best things about this hotel. We have two beautiful spaces that offer lots of natural light: the Garden Room and the Rotisserie. The Garden Room is located on the first floor of the hotel, and has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful Courtyard. The Rotisserie in the Crescent Club is on the 17th floor, and has killer views of Dallas with a dramatic crescent shaped window in the middle of the room. Both spaces offer a unique setting for great events.
Q: How far in advance should couples book your space?
A: Our booking window varies, but on average most couples book 9-12 months out. However, we have had couples book as short as 3 months before their wedding, so it just depends on our availability!
Q: Why do you think client’s choose your venue over your competition?
A: Couples love our location, quality of service, easy flow between ceremony & reception spaces, and our excellent reputation as a leading wedding venue for over 30 years.
Q: What do you love most about weddings?
A: The thing we love most about weddings are just being a part of such a memorable and happy occasion for our clients. To know that our clients trust us with such an important part of their lives, and to be able to exceed those expectations, it is a wonderful feeling. Plus every wedding is different, so we are always working to find ways to be creative and custom each event for our clients.
Q: What is something you would like clients to know about your venue that they cannot read on your website?
A: Our chef is always willing to customize our menus. So if you have your heart set on a certain dish, just ask and we will do our best to accommodate you!
Q: What advice could you offer to newly engaged couples?
A: The first step in planning your wedding is figuring out your guest count. Write down your full invited guest list, so you know what size venues to consider. Approx 70-80% of your invited list will come, so you need a venue that can accommodate you if your actual count is bigger than expected, but not too large that if your guest count drops, you don’t want to stuck with a huge food and beverage minimum. Finally, make sure to relax and just enjoy the process. At the end of the day, you are marrying your best friend and that is the most important thing!
Q: And my favorite question to ask: what is your signature cocktail?
A: We don’t have a set signature cocktail. We will work with our clients to come up with custom signature cocktails that reflect the individual tastes of the couple.
