You just got engaged and you’re thinking about who you should ask to be your bridesmaids for the big day! Should you ask your pregnant friend to be a bridesmaid? Yes! Yes! Absolutely! In fact, I used to be a bridal stylist at Alfred Angelo, and I know they carry bridesmaids dresses specifically for soon-to-be mommies! At the end of the day, you want your best friends to stand at the altar with you when you marry the love of your life. You don’t want to regret not asking one of your closest friends just because she’s pregnant! Now, all that being said, give her the choice to say yes or no. Weddings typically take a year to plan and she’s expecting her little one in nine months. She might be overwhelmed with baby-proofing the house or stressed about guaranteeing that she will be able to stand with you rather than deliver a baby at the hospital. Let this be her call, be okay with whatever she decides, and know that if she says yes, it is completely doable!
