This month, our Venue Spotlight is one of Dallas’ beautiful new venues: The Laurel! We had the wonderful opportunity to sit down with Shannon, the General Manager, to talk all about her gorgeous space. This venue offers a convienient location and the advantage of having your ceremony and reception all in one. The reception hall is adorned with lots of windows and stunning chandeliers. And to top it off, you have a choice between an outdoor-scenic or an indoor-chapel ceremony. What could be better?! Here are some details she shared with us about this dreamy venue:
Q: How far in advance should brides book your venue?
A: In order to get your premier wedding date, we suggest booking within a year and a year and half before your wedding date.
Q: Why do you think clients book you over your competition?
A: Clients like our venue because it has a very warm and comfortable feeling! We are the perfect fit for those couples that want a personal yet still elegant event. And because our venue is centrally located in Grapevine, we appeal to both Dallas and Fort Worth brides.
Q: When did you open? And how many weddings do you book in a year?
A: We just opened up in November of 2015 and already have booked up almost every weekend this year! We want to give every client our undivided attention so never book more than one event per day.
Q: What is something you want your clients to know about your policies that they cannot read on your website?
A: We offer clients a selection of five very talented catering companies for them to choose from upon booking. We do this in order to ensure that they are provided with the highest quality of service. Couples are always welcome to call and set up a consultation to hear all the wonderful details and more information about our venue.
Q: What advice could you offer to our newly engaged couples?
A: Rely on friends and referrals for your vendors. Be willing to be flexible about your vision and your budget. And trust the experts you hire to execute your wedding.
